Who Am I?
Hi, I’m Treys.
I’ve always been drawn to creating things . Whether is was drawing on paper, tattooing, building fishing lures, making Youtube videos or photography, I’ve always enjoyed the process of taking an idea and turning it into something real.
At the same time, ive always loved the outdoors. Some of my earliest memories are fishing with my grandfather and spending time outside whenever i had the chance. Those experiences helped shape who I am and still influence many of the things I enjoy today.
What is Treysart?
TreysArt started in 20219 as a hobby Youtube channel where I posted various art-related videos.
Around that same time, I became interested in building my own fishing lure after watching creators like Marling Baits. Before long, lure making became one of my favorite creative outlets, and naturally I started sharing the process on Youtube.
Over the years, the channel grew to more than 14,000 subscribers, and TreysArt gradually evolved into more than just a Youtube channel.
While Youtube is still a big part of what i do, this website gives me a place to share more detailed information, stories, and projects that don’t always fit into a video.
Today, TreysArt is a place where I share fishing experiences, lure-making projects, outdoor adventures, photography, fishkeeping and various creative projects, along with the custom lures I build and offer through my Etsy shop.
How Did I Get Here?
My passion for art eventually led me into tattooing. I spent nearly two decades working as a tattoo artist in Arkansas and Mississippi.
While tattooing taught me a lot about creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, over time I found myself wanting to spend more time creating on my own terms. Fishing, lure making, and being outdoors became a bigger part of my life, and eventually those interest came together through TreysArt.
Looking back, every creative hobby and career path Ive explored has helped shape what TreysArt is today.
Why this website Exists?
The purpose of this website is simple:
To share useful information, creative projects, and experiences with people who enjoy the same things I do.
